Week 3 Term 3

It’s great to be settling back into more “normal” routines again this term, as Covid-19 restrictions have eased somewhat since last term. Secondary students had an Assembly this week, and Primary students will have their first Assembly next week. It’s nice to see the tables set up outside the Canteen, and parents and staff enjoying being able to order coffees in the morning. The Secondary Athletics Carnival will be on next Friday 14th August – don’t forget to order lunches (burgers or sausage sizzles) online by 3pm Monday, or at Student Services (correct cash required) by 3pm Tuesday. Week 2 Term 3

We have had a great start to the new term. Even though it’s our first week back at school, we call this Week 2 (the Pupil Free Week is Week 1 to avoid confusion when we are organising things with other schools). NEW Kindy Nature Play Area Many children and parents have been taking advantage of the upgraded Kindy Nature Play area this week, which is awesome! We had contractors at the College over the holidays working to finish the area, ready for the beginning of term. A reminder that children MUST be actively supervised by parents before/after school in read more…

Primary Cross Country On Tuesday the 23rd of June we ran the Primary Cross Country Carnival at the College. In PE classes leading up to the Carnival, we had been working hard on our fitness and improving our running technique. Our emphasis has been on improving our personal best time. I am happy to report that nearly every student was able to achieve a personal best time at the Carnival – well done everyone! I would like to thank our secondary helpers who assisted in running the Carnival. One of the lovely aspects of having a K-12 school is when read more…

Well what a term this has been! I want to say a HUGE thank you to all of our staff for the incredible effort they have put in during these unsettled Covid-19 times. You have ensured the learning journey for each student has continued with excellence and in a spirit of confidence, compassion and faith. I also want to thank all of our families for the way you have partnered with us, and worked alongside us, during some wonderful, and perhaps not so wonderful, moments. You embraced schooling from home, you understood when you couldn’t come onto campus grounds due read more…

Kapture Photos – Mon 15 & Tues 16 June Remember Kapture Photos will be at school on Monday and Tuesday next week to take photos for us. Visit their website to order online: http://www.kapture.com.au – the school ordering code and student details have been sent home to parents. Students must be wearing formal uniform for their photos (except for Kindy & Pre-Primary students who wear sports uniform), and uniform policy applies for long hair which must read more…

Pupil Free Week in July Given that this has been a huge year for students and staff at the College, I have made the decision to keep the Pupil Free Week during the July school holidays.  This will allow everyone a well-deserved break and provide time for staff to prepare well for Semester 2, with some professional development. Students will finish Term 2 on Friday 3 July and return to school on Monday 27 July 2020. Please note: Year 11 and 12 ATAR students will be required to attend classes as normal during the Pupil Free Week, from Monday 20 read more…

Principal’s Message ‘Be ready in season and out of season’ (2 Timothy 4:2) Paul’s word to Timothy here doesn’t refer to time, but to us. We are to be ready at all times, or,  as Oswald Chambers puts it , ‘we should “be ready” whether we feel like it or not’. In many ways, if you are like me, we have all felt anything but ready during this Covid-19 season. However, if we only relied on those moments when we were comfortable and prepared, we would be of little use to God.  Fortunately, our team of staff and leadership have worked together to ensure our read more…

Week 8 Term 1 2020

Well what a strange couple of weeks we’ve had as we all come to terms with COVID-19 and how it is affecting the College, our families, our community, our State and our Country! In Week 9 (30 March to 3 April), students will move to online learning at home. Children whose parents are emergency/essential workers can still come to school to be supervised for their online learning studies. In Week 10 (6-9 April) there won’t be any online learning as Teachers and Education Assistants have professional development to prepare for Term 2. The College will continue to provide care for read more…
